So, about a year ago I got the vision for this shoot in my head. Even though the country chic wedding has been done and done again, I still wanted to do it. The thing is: here in Naples, everybody thinks only of beach weddings. And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing… because the majority of them are, BUT, Naples is so much more than the beach. Matt and I legit live in the country, so, trust me. 🙂
Now, when I say I had a vision, I mean that insofar as I knew I wanted a country chic wedding and I knew who my models were going to be, but when it came to the rest of the design, I wasn’t sure what it was going to look like. However, I knew our good friend Kara Cardinal from KC Weddings & Events would know what to do, and I was right!! (Duh… jk jk, but really… :-P)
Anyway, alongside Kara, we got an awesome group of vendors together and made the following happen. We are super happy with it and apparently some other people like it too… We’re excited to announce that this is our first published shoot, published today at Borrowed & Blue! Head over and check it out there, too. 🙂
A few random fun facts? 1) The buggy is ours; it’s Matt’s toy and the day before the shoot I was like, “wouldn’t that be cool to incorporate??” It worked out perfectly that Kara had planned to use blue glass… Meant to be, right?! 2) The models, Kelly & Tyson, are friends of ours who let us take over their house for the day. AND, since we scheduled the shoot on their actual 2nd wedding anniversary (on purpose), the guests pictured are real friends who all contributed to a potluck dinner. It was all delicious. 3) The dedication of these vendors to spend time on a late January Saturday with us to make our vision come true was amazing. So grateful!
Speaking of vendors… go show them some love!
