Capturing moments that make people go, “woah!” makes us ridiculously happy.
And happy is good.
Happy New Year!… (A little late, we know…)
It’s January 30th. Tomorrow is the last day of the first month of 2016 and just NOW we decide to post Happy New Year?! Un-BE-liiiievable!
Okay, but in all seriousness, things have been the good kind of busy around here, and now that the new year rhythm seems to be in place and we are officially entering our 4th month of business as Neubek Photographers, it’s time to blog.
These pictures are from our first shoot of 2016 with an awesome couple, Baker & Justin — Interim Innkeepers! I never knew that was a thing, but it is, and it’s cool. Check them out: here. If we owned an inn, we would definitely hire them to run the show while we vacationed.
It was a fantastic way to kick off the new year, a) because the shoot was on Sanibel island, which if you’ve never been to, you should sort that out immediately. It’s beautiful and serene, and though it was windy and cold (like 55 degrees!), it was refreshing. And b) It’s nice to be reminded of the beauty all around us; sometimes it’s easy to forget.
Also, Baker & Justin were a lot of fun and have perfect smiles. I don’t think we got one bad picture. Though the main purpose of the shoot was to get some nice marketing material for their business, Matt and I couldn’t help ourselves from snagging a couple of artsy shots, too 🙂 Oh, and, the lighthouse is special to them, so we made sure to showcase it.

We’ve been looking forward to this week for over a year now. Racheli & Adam’s wedding week!! Their wedding is this coming Thursday, but this past Sunday, they had a henna celebration. When we were booking travel for this, I told Racheli that Matt wouldn’t be able to make it until the day before the […]
Friends! Today, we are grateful for our health. We’re mostly bummed that it’s not at 100% right now, but it makes it easy to be grateful for the fact that, 360 days of the year, we feel pretty darn good. I’ve gotta go rest myself back to health!! Stay healthy, my friends, and check out […]
